In summer of 2025, I represented the Nova Scotia Lifeguard Service at the Canadian Coast Guard’s water safety day. That day I educated the public about water safety certified 18 people in Swim to Survive, the lifesaving society's standard for the minimum skills needed to survive an unexpected fall into deep water. It was a highly educational day, allowing me to become more aware of Mi'kmaw culture in Nova Scotia and how to create a classroom inclusive of this culture.

These certificates represent two trainings session I completed, in which I was educated on how to create positive spaces in schools specifically geared towards inclusivity of the queer community

In fall of 2025, I completed WHMIS training in my Science: Curriculum and Instruction course in preparation for instructing labs in practicum and throughout my career

In Fall 2025, I created an Oceans 11 lesson plan in collaboration with three of my classmates. We presented the lesson about connections in the marine biome to the rest of our class
